Javelin throw star Arshad Nadeem returned home from Mauritius 6 months before leaving the training camp incomplete in the interest of eating country bread.
Major General Akram Sahi, the former president of Pakistan Athletics Federation, told Jang that 7 years ago, he received a scholarship from the World Federation. He said that I want Pakistani bread.
Major General Akram Sahi said that once he arranged to be sent out for training and asked his wife to be sent along but she could not go due to the birth of a son, Arshad was also not satisfied there.
He added that Arshad is a natural player, adopted a long throw strategy on his very first throw under our guidance which benefited him in the qualifying round.
It should be noted that in the men's javelin throw event in Paris Olympics, Arshad Nadeem made a new Olympic record by throwing 92.97 meters and won the gold medal for Pakistan.
Pakistan last stepped on the Olympics medal podium on August 8, 1992 when the national hockey team defeated the Netherlands by four goals to three to win the bronze medal at the Barcelona Olympics. The gold medal was won by the hockey team.
